Kaya learned where her tummy is, so now she wants to see everyone else's- she will lift your shirt and pat your stomach, it is one of her favorite pastimes. She is so funny!


I was teaching her to cover her mouth and say "Oh no!". Too bad she can't talk yet, she just does the covering her mouth part. He he.

We finally have a camera!

We just bought a Canon Powershot and so far it seems to be working well. I am so glad to finally have a camera again, now I will be able to post pictures and videos on the blog again! As you can see, we have a lot of fun with Kaya, she is getting so big and has a really fun little personality. She likes to pinch (exhibit A: Chris' eyelid, see above) and she loves to give kisses (it may look like she is eating your face, but no, she is kissing you). She is finally crawling fast, and she has just recently started climbing things around the house. This is a very exciting accomplishment for her and she seems very pleased with herself and her new abilities. She claps her hands and squeals when she is excited. I will try to get some videos up soon. She is just so interactive now, we play hide and seek, and she loves to be chased around the house- when we catch her we tickle her, and she just laughs and laughs. I was taking pictures of her this morning, testing the new camera, and as you can see, she was trying to eat the camera every time I tried to get a close-up. I just had to include the goofy one with the funny eyes, we laughed so hard about that one. She loves to laugh and I love that now when I laugh at something funny she does, she laughs with me and does the funny thing again- she loves to make people laugh. The picture of her with her nose scrunched up is her doing the "sniffy face", as Chris calls it. This is one of our favorite little facial expressions, she is just so funny and cute! I just can't stand it, we hug her and kiss her squishy little cheeks all day long. She just turned one on October 1st and she is learning more every day. We love our little girl!

Don't worry, after taking pictures, I rolled her over to a more comfortable position. :)

He he.....she always takes her pacifier out and puts it back in upside down. She does this almost every time she goes to sleep, and she never puts it in the right way, so I have concluded that she actually likes to have it in upside down, for some inexplicable reason.

I love to kiss her squishy chin, and she just thinks it is funny.

This is one of the funny things she does- sometimes when I kiss her chin, she just rests her head on me and doesn't move, it is too hard to explain properly but it is SO funny!
